Final Paper Draft. The end of the class is rapidly approaching and now is a great time to begin working on your Final Paper. This assignment will give you an opportunity to create a detailed outline of your paper that can be reviewed by your instructors. The feedback they provide you will certainly help you create a better final product.
Review the Final Paper instructions in Week Five of the online course or in the “Components of Course Evaluation” section of this guide. Then, visit the Ashford Writing Center, within the Learning Resources tab on the left navigation toolbar, in your online course. Review the “Sample: Outline.” Format your outline for the Final Paper according to the “Sample: Outline.” (NOTE: In the “Sample: Outline,” it states that the thesis statement is the last one to three sentences of the introduction. Writing the Final Project

- In Week Four, students will review and critique three of their fellow classmates’ Blogs. Students will use the feedback they receive from each other to improve their own Blogs.
- In Week Five, students are encouraged to make any necessary revisions to their Blogs. During this course students have been gradually designing their own professional Blogs. Students completed Blogs will be graded on the following elements:
- Purpose – The material posted to the Blog clearly illustrates that the purpose is to demonstrate the student’s proficiency in the field of Communication Studies.
- Design – The blog should be designed using the following elements: Structure, balance, color, small details, clarity and emphasis, remarkability, and functionality.

This paper should be an objective evaluation of a situation or a problem you or someone you know has experienced here at the University or a suggestion for a change to a university process or a procedure that could improve a service the university provides to its students. You will be required to do some research to complete this paper. You should also incorporate the persuasive techniques you studied in this course. An outline of this proposal is due in Week Three, and the proposal itself is due in Week Five. Your proposal must be properly formatted in A.P.A. style and must be two to three pages in length (excluding title and reference pages).
The following are specific requirements for this assignment:
1. This assignment should be a planning proposal, as defined in our text, Technical Communication. The purpose of the proposal is to provide a solution to a problem or suggestions for improvement of a situation.
2. Assume that the audience for this proposal will be Ashford University administration.
3. Your proposal should fulfill the basic persuasive tasks outlined in Chapter Twenty-One of the text.
4. Your proposal should employ the persuasive techniques discussed in Chapter Four of the text.
